Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Maintenance and Installation - Work Based

Candidates will have an interview to select the most appropriate qualification units for them, and to determine which units and qualification level are achievable. The candidate will be observed in their workplace performing the relevant criteria from the chosen units. Underpinning knowledge questions for those units will be answered, satisfactorily completed and recorded. The qualification is gained by satisfactorily performing the unit performance criteria and answering the underpinning knowledge questions. A portfolio of evidence is built to the satisfaction of the allotted assessor. This assessed qualification is carried out in the workplace. Candidates will be asked to demonstrate competency in engineering maintenance. A team of dedicated assessors will visit students in the workplace to ascertain technical and occupational competence in Engineering Maintenance. This is an assessed qualification only, so no skills will be taught.Once you have enrolled onto the programme you will be assigned an assessor that will visit you in the workplace regularly. They will complete assessment plans and reviews with you to keep you on target. They will support you in the collection of the required evidence needed for your qualification through different assessment methods such as; professional discussion, observations, written questions, verbal questions, witness statements and any assignments.Progression is from Level 2 to Level 3, and candidates can expect enhanced promotion prospects with a qualification in this specialism.
