16-18 Study Programme - Cotmanhay

A personal programme for each learner. Young people can work towards GCSE or functional skills (entry level to level two) in English, maths and ICT as needed, and gain a work-related qualification. Most learners on this programme are those who need an alternative curriculum or environment to the one offered in schools. Learners also include: children in care care leavers electively home educated learners aged 14 to 16 16 to 19 year-olds not in education, employment or training (NEET). The programme allows learners to develop their employability skills, life skills and confidence. It also develops and promotes the benefits and value of all learning on physical and mental wellbeing. Learners are encouraged to progress onto further learning, volunteering and employment.
