German

UPDATED 20161006 15:43:16

The topics in Modern Foreign Languages are chosen to appeal to young people. Our aim is to stimulate interest and discussion about issues and trends related to the target language speaking countries and communities. These issues are varied and may be social, political, intellectual and/or artistic in nature, but will always aim to develop a deeper understanding of the speakers' cultures. You will of course be working with up to date materials including newspaper articles, magazines and online publications. A structured program of grammar runs throughout the course, to enable you to produce accurate written and spoken language. In all three languages literature and film feature at both AS and A level. These are chosen from a list set texts including both classic and modern works.
