Maths - GCSE Part 2 Foundation Tier

This is the second part of the GCSE Maths course. This course follows the AQA GCSE Maths syllabus. It is a linear syllabus suitable for the post-16 student. You will need a sound knowledge of Maths to succeed on this course and you will need to have knowledge of how you learn - your preferred learning style for example - as well as a knowledge and understanding of study skills. There is no coursework. However, this is a busy and comprehensive written examination based course. Please note that there is one class per week during term time. Please note: You must have successfully completed the corresponding GCSE Maths Part 1 course before you can enrol onto this course. The GCSE Maths Syllabus has 2 Units. The GCSE Maths syllabus covers Number and algebra, Geometry and measures and Statistics and probability. Unit 1 -This unit accounts for 40% of your overall final mark and Grade for GCSE Maths. Unit 2 -This unit accounts for 60% of your overall final mark and Grade for GCSE Maths.

Paper 1 is a non-calculator paper and is worth 40% of the final mark. It will be scheduled in June. Paper 2 is calculator paper, is worth 60% of the final marks and will be scheduled during June. Each exam is scheduled on a separate day. These exams are scheduled on nationally set days and times.
