Classics AQA Advanced Subsidiary Level: 1021 AQA Advanced Level: 2021 What is Classics at A Level? Classics provides the opportunity to study the literature (in translation) and archaeology of Ancient Greece and Rome. These societies were instrumental in the shaping of modern western culture and have traditionally been studied as part of a rounded academic education. Students should note that a good grade in GCSE English or History is required and that no previous knowledge of Classics, Latin or Greek is required: all material is studied in English!
