Plumbing Level 2

UPDATED 20161005 12:03:44

A new criterion was introduced for the Plumbing Industry stating that all applicants who would like to follow this career must be employed within the trade. The Technical Certificate was therefore introduced to provide specific underpinning knowledge for individuals who have no work experience or placement at present. The course is designed to enhance the chances of gaining employment as a trainee Plumber. The course will run for one-year and is purely college-based. There are a number of practical and theoretical phase tests that must be successfully completed throughout the training period. You will gain workshop experience in a number of areas relevant to domestic plumbing installations, such as pipe bending and soldering, cutting and threading, hot and cold water supplies and sanitaryware installations. All students enrolled should be actively seeking employment within the trade, which could enable them to return to enrol on the full NVQ programme and a day release basis. The course is aimed primarily at school leavers but we are also happy to talk to people who wish to change their career completely.
