Get the Most from Your Smartphone

This short course is for people who have a smartphone and would like to learn how to use it fully. You do not require any formal qualifications to do the course, but you should be confident using a PC and the internet. You should be able to read handouts and understand verbal instructions. You should also be dexterous (able to hold and use equipment). You will learn how to find your way around your smartphone, install apps and customise settings. The tutor will demonstrate and explain key aspects and give supporting handouts. You will then perform tasks individually or in small groups. Small homework tasks will be set, which will enhance your learning if you are able to do these. Your tutor will continually observe and support you and give you regular feedback about your progress. None A range of ICT courses is available. Your tutor will be able to advise you. You will need to provide your own smartphone. You may also want to bring a file to keep handouts in. Help with numeracy or literacy is available. ICT drop-in sessions are available during term time and are open to all learners.
