This one year full time course is suitable for you if you are interested in how products work, how things are made and you would like to obtain a qualification in Engineering. This course can be your first step to a career in the Engineering sector and can lead to an apprenticeship, employment and further study of higher level qualifications. South Downs College has strong links with local employers and many students achieve direct employment from the course via approved apprenticeship schemes. There is usually a trip organized within the year, with visits to appreciate engineering in action (previous years have gone to Thorpe Park and looked at the behind the scenes working of the rides, as well as an opportunity to enjoy the rides first hand).
