Portrait Drawing Improvers III

This course will consolidate skills and further your knowledge that was gained on the Portrait Improvers Terms 1 and 2. You will working on the following disciplines' You will look at different approaches to portrait drawing. You will explore a range of media, including soft pencils, charcoal and pastels. You will study the proportions of the face from looking at examples of other artists' work. You will learn: o Develop drawing skills: measuring, observing and practising mark making techniques o Learn to allow for 'foreshortening' when the head is tilted o Learn techniques and strategies to help get an accurate likeness of your model o Produce portrait studies which incorporate all of these skills and technique
