You will learn how to approach a design scheme using colour theory, form and space, decorative finishes, lighting, styling, soft furnishing and overall how to combine these approaches to produce an effective overall design. You will learn from a mixture of theory and practical work, but the course will be essentially practical with as much 'hands on' as is possible. If you wish to gain the Level 1 Award in Interior Design, there will be the option to enrol on an additional 8 week course to enable you to achieve this qualification. More information regarding this will be available from the tutor towards the end of this course.
