Intermediate Apprenticeship in Business Administration - Day Release (B)

The Intermediate Apprenticeship in Business Administration provides the fundamental skills and knowledge required for a successful and rewarding career in business administration. The following pathway options are offered: -business administration -legal administration The business administration pathway includes the following core units: communications in a business environment, managing personal performance and development, developing working relationships, the principles of providing administrative services, the principles of business document production and information management and understanding employer organisations. The legal administration pathway includes the following core units: communications in a business environment, managing personal performance and development, developing working relationships, legal audio processing, legal text processing, proofreading in the legal environment and working in the legal environment. Both pathways offer a wide choice of unit options to select from. You will achieve a nationally recognised Level 2 Diploma qualification. Unless exempt on entry, you will also achieve Level 1 Functional Skills qualifications in English, maths and ICT. You will learn through a combination of on- and off-the-job training. You will attend college one day per week during term time and spend the rest of your time earning and learning in the workplace. The Apprenticeship has a minimum duration of 12 months. Your progress will be continuously monitored and supported by an Apprenticeship Achievement Officer. There is a business administration element to every employment sector, which means that business administrators have a variety of options regarding which sector they work in.
