This qualification is designed to provide learners with an in-depth understanding of the knowledge and skills required for working in school environments with children and young people and is suitable for those employed at level 3, e.g. learning support assistants, teaching assistants. Learners will be required to complete a framework which comprises the staged units of the Level 3 Award, Certificate and Diploma from the Supporting Teaching and Learning Qualifications suite; Functional Skills in English, Maths and IT at Level 2; the Employment Rights and Responsibilities Workbook; and show evidence of Personal Learning and Thinking Skills throughout the qualification.
