The aims of the course are to further your knowledge and give practical help and instruction on basic workshop and repair procedures for clocks both spring driven and weight driven. You will dismantle and clean the movement; make notes and drawings for reassembly; learn cleaning methods; conservation and restoration; different methods of energy spring driven and weight driven. The repair and maintenance of your clock, learn reasons for the clock stopping; rebuild pivot holes, polish pivots, reassemble the clock, check end and side shakes etc and check striking train setup.
