Introduction to Car Maintenance - Female Only

An Introduction to Car Maintenance will give you the ability to keep your car in a roadworthy condition and give confidence when dealing with garages. You will be joined by other females and instructed by a technician trained at Mercedes. During the course you will learn: Health and Safety when working on motor vehicles. Checking techniques for: Wheels and tyres. Braking systems. Lights and levels. All this will culminate in you being confident to carry out a basic safety check on a car. This will enable you to: Jack up vehicles safely and correctly. Remove and refit wheels in the event of a puncture. Visually inspect brake pads. Confidently check the levels under the bonnet including oil, cooling and washer fluid. Check and inspect the condition of the lighting system and replace a lamp if required. Jump start the vehicle battery. Carry out a safety check on a car.
