Food Production and Cooking Intermediate Apprenticeship L2

This apprenticeship is designed for individuals employed in the hospitality industry preparing and cooking food who need to develop or consolidate their skills. You are required to take three mandatory units which cover maintaining a safe, hygienic and secure working environment, working effectively as part of a hospitality team and maintaining food safety in a hospitality environment. You then have a choice of a wide range of optional units covering the different food production areas of meat, fish, poultry & vegetables. This allows you to tailor the apprenticeship to the needs of your workplace. In addition to the Diploma in Food Production & Cooking, you will study the Certificate in Hospitality & Catering Principles (Food Production & Cooking), employment rights and responsibilities plus personal learning & thinking skills. As part of the Apprenticeship you will also be required to work towards Functional Skills in Maths and English.
