The qualification is divided into three stages: Award, Certificate and Diploma. To achieve the Level 3 Award you must achieve units 1 and 2. To achieve the level 3 Certificate you must achieve units 1,2,3,4 & 5. This will be delivered between Sept-Easter, in the following year. To achieve the Diploma you must achieve units 1-9, plus three optional units chosen with your tutors from units 10 - 21. To progress onto the Diploma you must have successfully completed the Certificate. The Diploma commences from Easter in Year 1. Throughout this qualification you will be expected to participate in professional practice in a variety of settings in order to apply what you learn in a practical environment. This will require 750 hours over the two year programme, will be formally assessed and must be passed to achieve. Details of the Units can be found on our Leaflet EY001F.
