Are you dreaming of becoming a teaching assistant? The Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools level 2 course might be the way to achieve this dream. On this 33 week course which will give you a nationally recognised qualification, you will develop and maintain professional skills and knowledge relating to the role of a teaching assistant. You will learn how to contribute to pupils' learning and behaviour management, and support pupils with a range of needs. You will understand your role in safeguarding children in schools, learn about child development and how to support children's learning appropriately to their stage of development. You will study in a stimulating atmosphere with the guidance of an experienced tutor, as well as gain some hands-on experience from attending a placement. This course is a subject to a pre-course assessment (PCA) and requires booking an appointment prior to enrolment. Please note that you will be a subject to a DBS check to be able to undertake a placement while studying this qualification.
