Wine Tasting How will this course help me? You will learn about the major wine producing regions f the world and the different styles of wine produced. Who is the course for This course is for all abilities. What can I expect to learn? Information on the wine producing regions of the world. An understanding of the factors that influence the taste/style of wine – including soil, climate, grape varieties and winemaking traditions. How to taste wine in a systematic way for better appreciation. How to match wine and food. How will I learn? There may be demonstrations, a chance to ask questions and to practice at your own pace. There are no exams or formal assessments. If you think you may need extra help with your learning, please ask your tutor or the Centre staff. We will try to help you. How will I know how well I am doing? The tutor will help you to recognise how well you are doing and what you need to do to improve. This may include developing your own learning plan. Will I have to do any work outside of the sessions? You may be given tasks or activities to complete to practice in between and prepare for the next and future sessions. You tutor will give guidance at the first session. What will I need to provide? Please bring along a notepad and pen so you can make your own notes. Some centres may request that you take wine glasses. Will there be any other costs? You may be provided with a reading list to support your learning. Additional fees will apply to cover the wine choices each week. What can I do next? You may want to come on some other Good Food or Natural History courses.
