IT Skills for Employment - Level 1 or 2 enables you to progress at your own pace using hand-outs and other materials. Individual attention from the tutor will be given in addition to occasional group sessions. Your tutor will help you to manage your learning in a structured and targeted way helping you achieve your goals. You will follow either the ITQ Level 2 syllabus (ECDL/CLAiTPlus) or ITQ Level 1 (CLAiT). Both of these qualifications cover a range of computer skills that are widely used in the workplace. Most of our centres now use Microsoft Office 2010/Office 2013 (Windows 7 & 10) please enquire at enrolment. What experience or skills do I need to join this course? Ideally you should have completed an entry level course such as Get into IT and/or Moving on in IT before embarking on ITQ Level 1. For ITQ Level 2 you should already have a level 1 IT qualification or equivalent practical experience of using a computer. Please ask to speak to one of our IT specialists if you are unsure of your current level. What is the course about? You can gain a Level 1 ITQ (CLAiT) certificate by passing Word Processing Internet and Email Spreadsheets or PowerPoint together with the Improving Productivity unit You can achieve a Level 2 ITQ (ECDL/CLAiTPlus) certificate by passing Word Processing Spreadsheets PowerPoint together with the Improving Productivity unit An additional two to three hours of study and practice per week is required during this course. For the first session you will need: Pen and notepad and plenty of enthusiasm Additional costs and/or resources: Workbook will be available but a memory stick is required How will I know how I am getting on? Your progress and achievements will be recognised and recorded throughout your course in a number of ways. For example: Feedback from tutor Assignments set by tutor Learning record Certificate on completion of the course Accreditation: both Level 1 and Level 2 are accredited courses
