The NOCN skills in employment, education and personal development qualification in gaining lifelong skills. The classes are small and workshop based, which will allow you to work either on individual targets or as part of a group. The qualifications allow learners to build confidence and progress their skills. The course will consist of various units chosen by the individual to meet their needs. Assessment will be carried out through observations, discussions, individuals own work, questions and answers and role plays. Everyone will be assessed to determine the level of award they will complete and a tutor will help the individual with this and determine an individual learning plan. Course Content You may want to work on: Food hygiene, Shopping, Using money, budgeting, Understanding bills, Living independently and many others The course will take into account interests of the learners for example one group looked at making cakes and worked out the shopping list etc. If there is anything in particular you would like to cover please speak to your course tutor. We try to take part in excursions on the course so learners gain different experiences, this usually consists of a shopping trip and sometimes a trip into town to identify job opportunities. The courses are very practical and you will take part in cooking, cleaning, etc. Please contact the provider if you have any queries or wish to enrol on the course.
