UPDATED 20160817 12:45:28

This course will provide a pathway to studying media at university. Media skills and knowledge can be used in other careers such as journalism, public relations, advertising and broadcasting. A Level media is a course for creative, practical people who are seeking to stretch their abilities through the application of research and academic knowledge. Students taking this course should be open to experiencing forms of media outside their usual habits and they should expect to become active rather than passive media consumers. Self motivation and a willingness to develop organisational skills are also essential throughout the course as tasks set involve group work and a high level of independence.
