This course is designed to give you an understanding of business organisations and the markets they serve. This will be valuable background information in your working life and particularly relevant for anyone involved in management or business.The BTEC Extended Diploma is equivalent to 3 A levels.The Extended Diploma is a practical work related TWO YEAR course. You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations and activities. The course comprises 18 units - four core units plus fourteen specialist units. You can study particular areas in depth eg marketing, finance, event planning, starting your own business and human resources. The course also includes two weeks work placement in the second year and there is the opportunity to participate in a programme of visits to business organisations.The course is assessed by assignments.
