Access to Social Work

This intensive one-year course provides you with the opportunity to learn about the social work sector and a career as a social worker, in particular. You will have the chance to improve your study skills, including your written English and research techniques, in order to gain the confidence and experience you need to successfully apply to university. The programme covers a broad spectrum of subjects including sociology (health, equality and family), psychology (research methods), social work (values, ethics and the work place), law and practice, English, information technology and study skills. Career advice and tutorials are also available on this course.
