This course will provide an opportunity for you to continue to learn, apply and extend the skills and techniques learned on a Beginners course in oil painting. The course takes a methodical approach to teaching the elements of oil painting through projects that explore a particular aspect of technique, style or artist's work, step by step. You will learn about various artists' work, artistic movements or genres that will stimulate and inform your work., , By the end of the course, you should be able to:, , • Demonstrate and understand relevant oil painting techniques , • Demonstrate successful use of relevant tools, equipment and resources , • Use appropriate methods to collect ideas, research and experimentation , • Successfully review and evaluate your own work, • Research and evaluate the work of others to inform your own work and development , • Be aware of and work to relevant Health and Safety guidelines , , There is no set 'homework', but you are welcome to practise and do further work at home., There is no qualification for this course., , , There is limited parking on site, but there is a public car park nearby and on-street parking. Students who have completed the Beginners course or have some experience. The course is also suitable for those who would also like to refresh their practice in this medium.
