<p>Course shortcode: ENG12 A Level English Literature can lead to university studies in subjects such as English, Media, History and many other humanities areas; unlocking careers that require effective communication and thinking skills, such as teaching, media and translation. An A Level in English Literature demonstrates to employers that you have the ability to commit to learning and have acquired good written and verbal communication, reasoning and analytical skills - essential in most careers. Across the English Literature courses, you will be exposed to a wide range of poetry, prose and plays. You will be encouraged to challenge different readings of the texts by applying narrative frameworks and literary theories.
