The OCR Bookkeeping and Accounting skills suite of qualifications provide candidates with high quality, nationally recognised qualifications. They are vocationally related, credit based qualifications that provide valuable opportunities for individuals to develop skills, underpin knowledge and understanding and provide progression to the accounting sector. They are accredited under the Qualifications and Credit Framework and are endorsed by the Financial Services Skills Council. The OCR Level 1 Award in Bookkeeping Skills is aimed at candidates who are new to bookkeeping or who wish to refresh their skills. It is also suitable for those studying in preparation for employment in bookkeeping roles or those already employed who wish to develop their skills. There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. Basic numeracy and literacy skills are essential.
