Ceramics Handbuilding - Beginners/Improvers

Suitable for those with some experience and more experienced ceramicists. During this course you will be able to experiment with different types of clay, glazes and handbuilding techniques to create ceramic forms either functional or sculptural. Not suitable for complete beginners.• You will be given projects designed to develop your skills or the tutor will guide you through your own self-directed project. • You will have the opportunity to learn handbuilding techniques such as coiling, slab moulding, casting, mould making. As well as decorative techniques such as glazing, slip work and coloured clay. • Students will be taught by group and one to one demonstrations and crits
