This course serves as an introduction to visual merchandising and space management, giving an insight into the key roles and responsibilities of a visual merchandiser.• Branding and communication strategies • Consumer markets and trends in retailing • Basic principles of window dressing and visual merchandising • Store visual merchandising and product presentation methods • Window prepping • Customer flow and the importance of effective store layouts • Colour, visual themes, selecting fixtures, lighting, and signage • Product handling, product adjacencies and product grouping • Mannequin dressing, handling and styling • Visualising and presenting a concept, including practical realisation • Practical exercises on merchandising and product grouping • Shops visits and conducting a visual audit
