Introduction to Papermaking

If you have ever wondered how handmade paper gets its special character and texture, this is the class for you. You will learn all the core techniques for preparing pulp, forming sheets and then enhancing them with decoration, colour and shape. You will learn about papermaking's sustainability and versatility, and leave armed with a variety of papers that you can use for your own projects or gifts. This short course is also an excellent introduction to our other, more specialized classes for students who catch the papermaking bug and want to learn more.
