This course gives you the opportunity to combine digital technology with traditional art techniques. You will develop skills that enable you to produce exciting creative and imaginative work in such areas as animation illustration interactive media video work 3D modelling games design and traditional art and design work. The course provides an introduction to interactive media and related industries and includes practical projects along with supporting theoretical studies. Area of study over the 2 year programme may include - Traditional art (drawing painting and sculpture) - 2D Animation - 3D Modelling - Web design - Interactive Media Authoring - Photography - Video Production & Effects - Computer Game Design - Image Manipulation - Concept Art Design Students also develop core skills in Communication Numeracy and Information Technology. Opportunity is provided to study for a qualification in English and Maths. We also offer a full programme of enrichment activities that include visits to relevant exhibitions and galleries. Your Study Programme will include the main course a weekly tutorial work experience placement/employability skills development and English and Maths as required (see below).
