Equivalent to 3 A Levels, this course provides an opportunity to develop real work skills in acting and dance, so that you can progress to a higher level qualification in this area or into the performing arts professions. Held on the Shoreditch Campus with top facilities, tutors and practising artists, it covers a broad range of acting and dance skills delivered through workshop and studio teaching. At the end of the first year, you can complete the 90-credit Diploma and then progress to the Extended Diploma in year 2. Unit content may include: principles of acting, applied acting, contemporary dance, jazz dance, performance workshop, performing to an audience, performing arts business, movement skills, dance performance, voice work, acting auditions, acting for camera, dance appreciation, historical contexts of performance, storytelling and rehearsing. You will also have the opportunity to study maths and English.
