Level 2 & Level 3 Apprenticeship in Fibrous Plastering

The course at level 2 will teach you the skills be able to Apply plastering materials to interiors Fix dry lining and plasterboards to interiors Lay sand and cement screeds Apply plastering materials to external backgrounds Produce reverse moulds for fibrous work Cast and fix fibrous plasterwork These skills will then need to be demonstrated in a commercial environment and assessed by one of our staff in the workplace. You will be informed about the tasks you need to be assessed when you are inducted on the course Progression onto the level 3 will enable you to be trained in the following skill Health safety and welfare in construction Principles of organising planning and pricing construction work Producing reverse moulds for detailed fibrous plaster and cement casting Producing and fixing detailed fibrous plaster and cement casts These skills will then need to be demonstrated in a commercial environment and assessed by one of our staff. You will be informed about the tasks you need to be assessed when you are inducted on the course As part of the apprenticeship you will be required to complete Maths English and in some cases ICT. If you have already done these make sure you inform us at enrolment and induction.

The practical work is completed after training in core and specific skills to the area you are working in. The NVQ aspects of the course are completed via on site assessment in the workplace. This is completed via observed work evidence from witnesses and discussions in relation to knowledge of the construction environment.
