In the first year you will study - memory - research methods - attachment - stress - social influence - individual differences. In the second year the units chosen are - eating behaviour - aggression - relationships - research methods and statistics - media psychology. You will learn through lectures group work independent work university style activities student presentations and discussions complemented by independent study at home and a range of organised trips. This subject combines well with business/economics English History Law Government and Politics and Sociology as well as Biology and Maths

Name: A Level Psychology Qualification title: GCE AS Level in Psychology Qualification type: GCE A/AS Level or equivalent Assessment The AS-Level is 100% exam based. A minimum of a D grade is needed at AS Level to progress onto year 2 of the course. The A-Level is 100% exam based. Your final grade will solely be calculated from the results in your final papers. Assessment is an integral part of the overall learning process and our student centred approach aims to promote initiative and creativity critical thinking evaluation decision making personal reflection and effective communication skills. Each subject has a number of assessments throughout the year and can include the following: external exams independent research presentations essays coursework and in-class tests.
