This short introductory course will provide you with an opportunity to see how the Second World War affected those at home. You will look at the Blitzes 1940-41 and 1944-45 and their effects upon London including how people reacted. The role of women on the Home Front will be introduced with questions as to the effects of two world wars upon this part of society. Topics will also include rationing and the use of propaganda.
