French - Stage 3 - Term 3

The aim of the course is to widen knowledge of vocabulary and grammar to facilitate communication on a variety of topics. Emphasis is on developing and improving speaking and listening skills for use in real life situations. Different topics are covered each term. Typical topics covered at Stage 3 may include: • talking about present, past and future activities; • making plans for holidays and finding out tourist information; • making arrangements and dealing with problems (restaurants, hotels, shops etc). Sessions are lively and varied with goals tailored to individual needs. The emphasis is on speaking and listening, with pair and group activities to maximise opportunities to speak in the language. Reading, writing and essential grammar are also incorporated into the course.
