Watercolour Painting

This course will introduce you to using watercolours and will develop your skills., , By the end of the course, you should be able to:, , - explore the qualities of different brushes and papers, - work with composition, - mix colours using basic colour theory, - use a range of watercolour painting techniques, , There is no set 'homework', but you are welcome to practise and do further work at home., There is no qualification for this course., This day course in River is for anyone who would enjoy expanding their experience with painting and drawing. Beginners welcome., It is important to note that art courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity. If you need to bring a carer with you, or be accompanied by another adult please ask to speak to the Programme Manager before you enrol.

Entry requirements

If you are a new student and have no materials please wait for your tutor's advice on what to buy. However, all students should bring an A4 sketchbook and a variety of pencils.You will need to provide your own materials and these will vary in cost according to the course requirements. Please do not buy anything especially for the course before it starts, but if you have any materials/equipment that might be appropriate please bring them with you.
