This 6 week training plan is designed to get you running to a level where you can run a 5k (3.1miles) and uses a gradual walking /jogging program to improve your fitness enabling you to run for extended periods of time. It is important to have a goal so the course will lead up to a local 5k event., , Each session will start with a gentle warm-up followed by a jogging session. The session will end with some stretching., , Students will be provided with a running programme to follow during the week between classes if they would like one. , Maybe you have done some jogging in the past but for one reason or another you have stopped or had to put it on hold. This class gets you back into your jogging and includes running a local 5k event to give you a goal. It is ideal for those who work best with the support of a running group and trainer.
