Topics covered in the Beginners and Japanese 2 course (e.g. shopping, food and drink, making enquiries) will be revised and expanded. By the end of the course, students will be able to:, , * read and write more Japanese characters, , * exchange simple information orally and in writing about self, family and others, , * understand and exchange information on daily routine, , * understand and exchange information on leisure activities (including likes and dislikes), , Students will gain an insight into the culture where the language is spoken. , , Please note this course involves some reading and note taking. For those who have studied the language in the past for approximately 100 hours or completed a Japanese Year 2 course, are familiar with some Japanese characters and who can hold a simple conversation on a variety of everyday topics (personal information, shopping, directions etc).
