You will gain an insight into a variety of aspects of sport including Anatomy and Physiology, planning & delivering sport sessions, Coaching, Injuries in sport, Leadership in sport, practical sports, fitness testing, fitness training, outdoor activities along with trips including cycling, ice skating, climbing, walking, adventure activities. With strong employer links such as local gyms, council, school sports partnerships, sports clubs, Sport City etc. Students can attend real working visits and experience of industry, gaining valuable employment skills. Additional coaching qualifications will also be available throughout the course.

The course will allow the improvement and training of interpersonal skills such as communication, teamwork, individual research and working to the set deadlines. You will learn through lectures, workshops, directed study, demonstrations, practical application and guest speakers/visits.
