This course will cover the observation of various plants flowers and natural subjects.At the start of the term we will draw in detail paying particular attention to creating form and perspective. As the term progresses we will explore drawing in pen coloured pencils and water colour paints. There will be several projects set which will help the student work towards producing professional traditional Botanical Illustrations. Advice and guidance will be given to students of all abilities and experience. What experience or skills do I need to join this course? · No experience is necessary just an interest in the subject. · The course is designed for beginners and intermediates What is the course about? · Exploring the basic and more advanced techniques of observing drawing and painting plants and flowers For the first session you will need: · Basic pencils eraser pencil sharpener and sketch paper. Additional costs and/or resources: · During the course water colour paints and paper may be required but advice will be given at the first session How will I know how I am getting on? · Written & photographic records · There will be continual one to one assessment and guidance · Group discussions and displays are part of the course procedure · The completion of Individual and group projects will indicate progress Accreditation: None
