Incorporating Functional skills in Maths and English, helping to improve the general literacy and numeracy basic skills using technical and competence qualifications, valued by Logistics employers, to help their businesses grow. The apprentice will move and progress within the business developing new skills and demonstrating understanding of their job role and become a valued and competent member of the team they are working in. The economy relies on the efficient movement of goods within and outside of the UK to ensure goods arrive on time and in the right condition, by road, rail, sea or air. Logistics employers report skills gaps and shortages of literacy, numeracy and communication, as well as an ageing workforce. Units Include - Health, Safety and Security at work - Make an effective contribution to a business in the logistics sector
