This qualification is a national requirement to become a registered hairdresser. Learners will study the theory of hairdressing in Headstart, our fully equipped and newly refurbished commercial salon. Learners will also be working with members of the public to put their skills into practice. Contents include: Colouring techniques Cutting Style and finish Setting and dressing Health and safety Perming Reception skills Client consultation As part of this study programme you will work towards English and Maths. This will provide learners with the skills needed to perform confidently,effectively and independently in learning,life and work. Learners will enjoy visits to hair and beauty exhibitions including Beauty Uk and the Clothes Show. Work experience is an essential part of this study programme and learners will be regularly entering competitions to improve their creative skills.
