The degree gives you the opportunity to study in a studio environment comparable to any London college. All students are allocated a work space in which to carry out their practice. You will also have access to our specialist studios and workshops. In the first year you will explore a range of fine art disciplines, developing work using both traditional and non-traditional media. Underpinned by the research and theory modules, you will develop work in painting, printmaking, sculpture, lens and time based media guided by lecturers who specialise in these areas of practice. In the second year, you have the opportunity to specialise, and thoroughly consider professional practice, which aims to give you grounding in good business practice and the opportunity to research possible career paths. In the third year, you will focus on creating a significant body of work, based around your self-written proposal. Underpinned by your contextual report, this major project will culminate in your graduate exhibition.
