Farnborough College of Technology is pleased to offer a two year course leading to a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling awarded by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body. CPCAB is an organisational member of the European Association for Counselling and their qualifications are internationally available. Each year comprises 228 guided learning hours, the total course hours are 446. The CPCAB website can be accessed on www.cpcab.co.uk Subjects Covered Upon successful completion of this course students will gain a recognised counselling qualification for agency level work and will have completed sufficient training hours to apply for BACP Accreditation. The student will be able to demonstrate;- Working ethically, safely and professionally as a counsellor Working within a counselling relationship Working with client diversity in counselling work Working within a user-centred approach to counselling Working with self-awareness in the counselling process Working within a coherent framework of counselling theory and skills Working self-reflexively as a counsellor
