Who is the course for? The Level 3 Graphic/Interactive Design course is a practical design course fit for the 21st century. You will build up your familiarity and confidence in the design process to allow you to become a creative problem solver. You will be working on industry briefs to help develop your confidence and experience to be able to work at that level and build a body of work that is relevant to professional practice. You will develop your traditional and software skills in design, illustration and web development to be able to create effective designs and creative websites. These software skills will also compliment your ability to think critically as a designer. Our tutors, who are experienced practitioners and educators in their fields, will provide unlimited one-to-one tuition assessment of your work and discuss projects with your fellow graphic design students. What can it lead to? This is an excellent progression route to an art foundation course, higher education courses in graphics, packaging and typography, web design, interactive media and illustration. Alternatively you will develop the necessary skills to work in the industry with an employer or freelance designer. What will I study? You'll explore a range of ideas within Graphic/Interactive design, Illustration and Photography. You will learn through practical and critical activities to express and gain knowledge of the different areas within the various fields of Design, Photography and Illustration, by creating sketchbooks of research, ideas and development. You will have a choice to explore a range of techniques using a variety of 2D materials and software skills. The course is equivalent to three A-levels and is very varied: as well as furthering your own practical skills you will visit art galleries and have industry specialist talks.
