This course is for newly appointed, as well as experienced, teaching assistants who would like to gain a recognised qualification. Achieving this qualification will demonstrate your ability to relate to pupil welfare, care, behaviour and learning. Some of the learning you will undertake will be around topics like: Child and young person development, safeguarding, communication, equality and diversity, supporting learning activities. You must be spending a minimum of ten hours per week in school either in a paid or volunteer capacity. Please note this course is not available for online enrolment. You must enrol to one of the introduction to STLS courses prior to progressing onto this course.
