Abrasive Wheels Safety Training

The course is designed to provide basic knowledge and understanding for the safe handling, mounting, setting and storage of abrasive wheels on a variety of portable and mounted grinding type equipment. This is a general appreciation course, and leads to College certification. The course can be delivered both on and off site as required, to a maximum of sixteen candidates during a day session. Candidates will learn the correct procedures for: - Setting and mounting of grinding - Dressing of wheels - Safe handling of wheels - Correct storage of Abrasive Wheels - Managing the hazards associated with Abrasive WheelsThe course can be delivered both on and off site as required, to a maximum of sixteen candidates during a day session. All Abrasive Wheel courses are tailored to suit candidate or employer expectations and requirements using a range of theoretical and demonstrative techniques, including demonstrations on machinery and hand tools.Candidates can opt to complete an Abrasive Wheel Trainer Course here at Eastleigh College, which extends their knowledge on Abrasive Wheel technology and general competence associated with Abrasive Wheel technology.
