The Independent Living course has been designed to address the needs of learners working at Entry Level 1 and in particular those with learning difficulties and disabilities. The qualification ensures that all learners are given the same opportunities to access appropriate and relevant education and improve their life chances. It provides a foundation for lifelong learning focusing on transferable social and life skills which are essential for living and working in the community. There are also a variety of creative enrichment activities and group excursions.
