The Access to Higher Education Diploma is a nationally recognised level 3 qualification that is equivalent to A levels and accredited by Ascentis. Completing this course will support you in gaining entry to a university degree using UCAS. Through the course, you will develop transferable skills such as academic writing, communication, ICT, team work, presentation and exam technique while the knowledge component consists of 20 units that covers Biology, Health Studies, Psychology and Sociology. The course can be done over either a 1 year full-time (September entry) or 2 year part-time (September or January entry) period. Completing the course can also support progression in the workplace. Depending on the degree course you may need a C+ grade in Mathematics, English and/or Science GCSE which can be taken alongside the 2 year part-time Access Diploma.
