FdA Children and Young People's Workforce

This foundation degree has been designed to meet the developing roles within the sector for those working with children, young people and their families. It is anticipated that applicants will be developing careers within the children's workforce and seeking a qualification which will facilitate the opportunity to explore a wide range of career directions, which may include those in Nursery or Primary education, care, special needs, family support, outdoor learning, Youth Work or play, among others. It may be of particular interest to practitioners already in employment who would like to study in college on one day a week and undertake their research and self study in their work or home environments. The successful completion of this course qualifies you to level 5. You may then if you wish continue with a top up course to obtain a full Honours degree at level 6.
